
Ryan D. Russell is a Partner in the Firm’s Family Law Department, where he focuses his practice exclusively on matrimonial and family law matters throughout New Jersey. As a New Jersey divorce lawyer, Ryan represents clients in all aspects of divorce and family law litigation, including matters involving alimony, equitable distribution of assets, child custody and parenting time, child support, domestic violence, adoptions, and post-judgment disputes.
His practice includes matters involving complex financial issues, closely held businesses, and high-conflict custody disputes. Ryan regularly represents individuals and families in complex divorce and family law matters in Monmouth County, Ocean County, Middlesex County and throughout New Jersey.
Ryan appears in the Superior Court of New Jersey, Family Part, and has substantial experience handling contested matrimonial matters. He has represented clients in motion practice, court hearings, early settlement panels, mediation, and other proceedings common to family law litigation. Ryan also has extensive experience drafting motions, briefs, marital settlement agreements, prenuptial agreements, and other legal documents in complex matrimonial matters, including appellate submissions.
Ryan works closely with clients to develop thoughtful legal strategies designed to protect their financial interests and the well-being of their families while navigating the challenges of divorce and family law disputes.
Prior to joining LaRocca Hornik Rosen Greenberg & Crupi, LLC, Ryan practiced family law at a prominent New Jersey law firm where he represented clients in a broad range of matrimonial and family law matters throughout the state.
Ryan previously served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Kathleen A. Sheedy, Presiding Judge of the Superior Court of New Jersey, Chancery Division, Family Part, Monmouth Vicinage. During law school, he worked at Seton Hall University School of Law’s Center for Social Justice Clinic, where he represented clients in matrimonial and family law disputes.
Ryan has been recognized for his work in family law, having been selected for inclusion in the Super Lawyers “Rising Stars” list in the area of Family Law and named to Best Lawyers in America’s “Ones to Watch” list in Family Law since 2023.
Outside of his practice, Ryan volunteers with the One Catalyst Foundation, a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing tangible support to members of the community through medical financial assistance, oncology research funding, and educational scholarships.
